In dem massiven Stein der Dillenburger Kasematten wurden auch Zeichen und Schriften gehauen.
Die Dillenburger Kasematten gehörten mit zu den größten Verteidigungsanlagen West-Europas aus der frühen Neuzeit (15./16. Jahrhundert).
